Description
The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is seeking a sole source contractor to provide a heating element for the hot water system onboard the USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC-20). The heating element is required to be from the original equipment manufacturer, Hubble Electric Heater Co. The contractor will be responsible for delivering the heating element to the specified location. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract, and the award is expected to be made approximately two weeks after the solicitation closing date. Key considerations for the contractor include:
• Providing a heating element that meets the specified requirements, including a 170KW, 440V, 3-phase, 48" immersion length, and 10" 150LB 316L stainless steel flange.
• Ensuring that the heating element is compatible with the existing system onboard the USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC-20).
• Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and contract terms, including those related to packaging, marking, and shipping.
• Providing documentation and reports as required by the contract, including a unique item identifier and valuation for the heating element.
