Job Order Contract for Mechanical Works/HVAC (JOC 2606 through JOC 2608)

The County of San Mateo is seeking Mechanical Works/HVAC Contractors for Job Order Contracts (JOC). The work to be done consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, appurtenances, and equipment required as well as any other items and details not mentioned but required by the Contract Documents and as directed by the Director of Public Works or the Director's designee. The term of each JOC will be a term of one year, except that the contracts shall continue to cover Job Orders issued during that year until the work thereunder has been completed. The County intends to bring under contract up to three contractors to provide services with an aggregate fiscal obligation not to exceed $5,000,000 for each agreement during a maximum individual term of one year. • The work will be performed within a designated area of the County, but the Owner reserves the right to require the Contractor to work at any location or facility under the jurisdiction of the Owner. • The Contractor will be required to provide a Bid Bond of $25,000 per bid and a Performance Bond of $1,000,000. • The Contractor will be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen, or mechanics employed by them in the execution of this Contract. • The Contractor will be required to comply with the County Ordinance with respect to employee benefits and jury duty pay to employees. • The Contractor will be required to comply with the County Ordinance with respect to construction and demolition debris.
