Description

The City of Eudora is seeking qualified consulting firms to provide pre‑construction engineering and project management services for the Wakarusa Boat Ramp improvement project. The scope includes replacing the existing boat ramp, adding restroom facilities, seating, shade structures, paving a parking lot, installing signage and pavement markings, constructing an 8‑foot concrete shared‑use path, repairing sidewalks, adding ADA‑compliant ramps, and upgrading curb‑gutter assemblies. The consulting firm must be pre‑qualified by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) in Work Category 411 (Pedestrian and Bicycle Facility Design) and may also need qualifications in categories 241 (Roadway Construction Inspection) and 441 (Utility Construction).

Budget estimate

$150,000 – $300,000

No budget is disclosed. Based on typical engineering consulting rates for a municipal infrastructure program of this scale (including design, permitting, and project management for a boat ramp, parking lot, and ADA pathway), a reasonable estimate would be between $150,000 and $300,000. Factors influencing the range include the complexity of hydraulic design, the extent of site‑specific civil work, and the level of detail required for KDOT pre‑qualification documentation.
