Description
The USDA Agricultural Research Service is seeking a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive interior renovation and repair work at its Federal Building‑11 in Raleigh, NC. The scope includes wall preparation and painting, cabinet, sink and lighting replacement in a hallway nook, two optional flooring replacement strategies (full or partial), acoustic ceiling tile replacement, and related demolition, permitting, and waste‑disposal activities. The contractor must manage asbestos testing/abatement if required, submit detailed submittals for all materials, coordinate with a government Location Monitor, and complete the entire project within 60 calendar days of receiving the Notice to Proceed. The contract is a sealed‑bid, fixed‑price solicitation valued between $250,000 and $500,000. Bidders are encouraged to conduct a site visit prior to submission.
• Interior wall prep, patching, priming, and low‑VOC acrylic latex painting for hallways and offices.
• Removal and installation of new built‑in cabinetry, countertop, sink, and LED lighting in hallway nook.
• Two flooring options: (A) full replacement of hallway and office flooring (≈5,000 sf) or (B) office‑only replacement; both require asbestos testing and use of Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT).
• Replacement of acoustic ceiling tiles throughout the 10,100 sf building.
• All required permits, inspections, and asbestos abatement documentation to be handled by the contractor at its expense.
• Daily cleanup, waste removal, and compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Project schedule: 60 days from Notice to Proceed; work hours 8 am‑5 pm, Mon‑Fri.
