The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), is considering an application for a public access and utility easement from Troy L. Church. The proposed easement is approximately 2,640 feet long and 75 feet wide, totaling approximately 4.55 acres, and is located near Trapper Creek, Alaska. The purpose of the easement is to provide access and utilities for the applicant's private parcel. The applicant has requested an indefinite term for the easement. • The easement will allow access to the applicant's private parcel, which was purchased in an Agricultural Land Sale. • The proposed road will cross two adjacent authorizations and Matanuska-Susitna Borough land before continuing over state land to access the applicant's private parcel. • Construction of the improvements is contingent on the placement of related infrastructure on adjacent land owned and managed by the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. • The applicant will be required to pay annual interim land use fees, a one-time fee per linear foot, and a one-time fee per acre. • The applicant will also be required to submit proof of insurance and a performance guaranty.
