The National Park Service intends to award a single source justified cooperative agreement for the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) National Historic Landmark Nomination project. The project aims to produce a complete draft of a National Historic Landmark nomination for a property that is nationally significant to the history of Asian American and Pacific Islanders in the United States. The recipient will work in consultation with NPS staff to hire a qualified historian to prepare the nomination. The project will involve research, writing, and preparation of the nomination according to the requirements of the NHL Program.
• The project is a follow-up to the AAPI National Historic Landmark theme study issued by NPS in 2018.
• The recipient will be responsible for preparing a draft and final nomination, as well as an executive summary and a PowerPoint presentation.
• The NPS will provide guidance and oversight throughout the project.
• The project is expected to be completed within 1 year and 4 months.
