DeSoto County is seeking qualified firms or individuals to perform comprehensive audit services for multiple county entities over a five‑year span. The work must comply with Florida statutes, GAAP, GAGAS, and Uniform Guidance, and include financial statement audits, internal‑control reports, compliance reviews, and management letters for each fiscal year. Auditors must also attend up to three public meetings and make work papers available to federal or state agencies upon request. • Scope covers the Board of County Commissioners, Supervisor of Elections, Clerk of the Circuit Courts, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, and Sheriff’s Office. • Required deliverables: financial statements, internal‑control reports, compliance reports, management letters, and immediate reports of any suspected illegal acts. • Auditors must be ready to renegotiate and re‑award the contract annually for each fiscal year ending September 30, 2026‑2030.
