Description
The U.S. Army is seeking a contractor to provide roofing services, including roof removal, installation, repair, sealing, and replacement, at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and other nearby locations. The contract will be a Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) with an indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity (IDIQ) procurement. The contractor will be required to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to perform the work. The contract will include a pricing schedule with various line items for different types of roofing work, and the contractor will be paid based on the quantity of work performed. The contractor will be required to have a Virginia Class A Contractor's License and a local office within two hours of Fort Belvoir. Some of the key work items include:
• Roof removal and replacement with new membrane underlayment and fully adhered 60 mil thick TPO or EPDM roof system
• Installation of new roof insulation to produce an R-48 value
• Repair of holes or small rips in TPO or EPDM roof membranes
• Repair of metal roof sections and mansard knuckles
• Installation of new metal coping and flashing
• Installation of fall arrest roof anchors
• Demolition and replacement of existing damaged snow guards
• Installation of new snow guards
The contractor will be required to perform the work in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings, and to ensure that all work is completed in a safe and professional manner.
