Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking information from qualified sources for the procurement of an additive manufacturing system. The system should be able to produce three-dimensional parts from STL and/or VRML data files and other file types like .3mf and .amf. The system must have a build envelope capacity of at least 400 mm x 350 mm x 400 mm and be able to produce parts with holes, overhangs, or other voids. The system should also have a heated build chamber and be able to maintain a minimum operating temperature of 90° Celsius. Key features and requirements of the system include: • Rapid prototyping and production capabilities • Ability to produce complex parts that aren’t feasible through conventional methods • Compatibility with electrical configuration: 230VAC, 3W, 30Amp • Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provided with the system • System footprint not exceeding 20 square feet of floor space • Compressed air requirement maximum: 120 psi • Material delivery system with continuous feed monitoring and high-capacity filament spools or multi-spool storage • Heated build chamber capable of maintaining a minimum operating temperature of 90° Celsius • Software for printing 3D models using STL or similar files • Support removal cleaning station with specified requirements
