USGS Earthquake Hazards Program External Research Support Announcement for Fiscal Year 2025

The USGS Earthquake Hazards Program (EHP) is seeking research proposals to support the study of earthquake hazards, physics of earthquakes, earthquake occurrence, and earthquake safety policy. The program aims to address the Department of Interior's Secretarial priorities related to centering equity and environmental justice. Proposals should clearly address the research priorities outlined in Attachment A and must be for a duration of either one or two years. The majority of research activities must be conducted by the applicant, and proposals must include a data management plan. • Proposals must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov. • The estimated total funding for this program is $5,000,000. • The expected number of awards is 60. • The project period is expected to be 24 months. • Cost sharing or matching is not required. • Proposals from U.S. Government agencies or employees, and proposals with a real or apparent conflict of interest, are not eligible for consideration.
