No Eject, No Reject (NENR)

The State of Montana, Department of Public Health and Human Services, is seeking information and innovative ideas on other potential policies to ensure younger children and youth with complex, high-acuity needs are served in Montana. The Department is interested in partnering with providers to develop specialized resources dedicated to serving Montana youth with the highest acuity of needs. The goal is to reduce reliance on out-of-state placements and keep youth closer to their families and communities. • The Department is seeking information on providers' interest in contracting to provide residential and/or community-based mental health services under a "No Eject, No Reject" policy. • The Department wants to identify vendors interested in providing residential and/or community-based mental health services in Montana. • The Department is looking for feedback on how to structure a NENR policy in Montana, including incentives and supports that would help facilities operate under such a policy. • The Department is seeking information on providers' experience with providing youth residential and/or community-based mental health services, as well as their metrics for measuring program success.
