75' SLEDGE WLIC SLING LIFT RIG RECERTIFICATION

The U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) is seeking a contractor to provide services to certify a 75' lifting rig structure. The contractor shall conduct all necessary inspections required to certify the lifting rig, which shall meet requirements stated within SFLC STD Spec 8634. The certification shall include a signed and sealed report by a Professional Engineer (State of Maryland). The work shall be conducted at USCG Yard, Baltimore MD 21226, between 01 and 10 May, 2026. Some key points to consider include: • The slings are not part of this certification and are to be certified according to standard CFR/OSHA requirements. • The lift rig has been previously load tested, and re-load testing is not required. • The contractor shall provide a Certification Report, which shall include an inspection overview, inspection findings, and a surveyor's endorsement.
