Description
The Montebello Unified School District is seeking a qualified contractor to perform terrazo abatement in a restroom at Schurr High School. The project involves removing terrazo walls and abating lead-based paint and asbestos. The contractor must provide proper cutting equipment, containment, and disposal methods. The project requires a State-certified supervisor on site and adherence to all State and local regulations. The contractor must also provide a three-stage decon with shower and proper signage.
• The project is expected to take approximately three days to complete, with one day for containment, one day for removal and demolition, and one day for tear-down and clearance.
• The contractor must communicate with the project coordinator before commencing work and must not abate in the presence of students or staff.
• The contractor is responsible for providing all labor and materials, including proper PPE, and must ensure that all workers have ID's present on site at all times.
• The contractor must also provide a warranty for a minimum of one year from the date of District acceptance.
