Tradition Reginal Park - Synthetic Turf Playing Fields Sole Source

The City of Port St. Lucie Parks and Recreation Department intends to purchase exchanges, SCG Fields to install one set of 70' base anchors and plugs on each of the four synthetic turf fields at Tradition Regional Park. The city plans to negotiate and award a contract to a single source under the authority of Florida Statute 287.057(3)(c). The justification for sole source is that SCG Fields is the original installer of the synthetic turf system and the only company authorized by the turf manufacturer to perform the required base anchor work without voiding the existing turf warranty. • The scope of work includes installing one set of 70' base anchors and plugs on each of the four synthetic turf fields. • The estimated expenditure for the current term of the contract is $17,500.00. • The vendor is the sole authorized contractor permitted to perform this work while maintaining the warranty. • The city has verified that no alternative vendor can provide an equivalent, warranty-compliant service.
