The Village of Canajoharie is requesting Qualification Statements for post approval Engineering Services for an Office of Community Renewal (OCR) Small Cities CDBG project that the Town will request via a Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) that the Village anticipates to submit in July 2026. If approved, this project would likely proceed with CFA announcements in December 2026. Responses to this request will be accepted until 2:00 PM June 17, 2026 at Canajoharie Village Offices, Office of the Village Clerk, 75 Erie Blvd., Canajoharie, New York 13317. The outside of the sealed envelope must be marked “Response to Engineering Services Request for Qualifications – Village of Canajoharie I&I Phase 2 Project". Respondents are required to submit seven (7) copies of their qualifications statement and a digital copy formatted as PDF on a thumbdrive.
The Village’s sanitary sewer system was constructed in the early 1900’s, making some of the collection system piping over 100 years old. The collection system has deteriorated, and the Village needs a solution to infiltration and inflow (I&I) into the collection system. The Village's Phase 2 project will occur on Montgomery Street, Schultz Street, Prospect Street, Abeling Street, Maple Avenue, Phillips Avenue, 3rd Avenue, Moyer Street, Smith Street, Cliff Street, Mohawk Street and Erie Boulevard and will include a combination of CIPP, Repair, Replacement and Manhole Reconstruction. The approximate budget for all project phases is estimated to be $7.3 Million.
The Village of Canajoharie is seeking Engineering Services to include design, preparation of bid specifications, assistance with bidding, construction administration, inspection services and as-built drawings.
