Description
The City of Austin is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Cummins Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) engine repair services with associated parts for the City's vehicles and equipment on an as-needed basis. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, parts, equipment, materials, tools, supervision, and transportation required to perform the specified repairs. The contractor will also be required to provide a 12-month labor warranty for all repair services and a minimum of a 12-month warranty for defects in material and workmanship for all parts.
• The contractor must have the appropriate facilities, equipment, inventory, licenses, registrations, permits, and qualified personnel to perform according to the scope of work.
• The contractor must provide expedited repair services and emergency disaster services as requested by the City.
• The contractor must deliver code red orders with overnight delivery.
• The contractor must provide a written estimate for repairs and obtain written authorization from the City before proceeding with repairs.
• The contractor must notify the City of any hidden damage discovered during repairs and obtain written approval before proceeding with repairs.
