Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Repair Bay

The City of Roseville is soliciting bids for the materials and labor to convert an existing automotive body shop into a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicle service bay. The scope of work includes demolition, bay conversion, ventilation, electrical work, ADA upgrades, and integration with existing building systems. The project requires compliance with various codes and regulations, including NFPA 30A, CARB, OSHA, ADA, and local building and fire codes. The successful bidder will be awarded a contract purchase agreement and must provide a bid bond and performance bond. • Demolition: Remove existing wall(s) as indicated in demolition drawings. • Bay Conversion: Retrofit the existing body shop bay into a CNG repair bay, including methane detection systems, purge ventilation, and safety controls. • Ventilation: Provide CNG-compliant ventilation systems, including purge fans, ductwork, and exhaust systems. • Electrical Work: Upgrade electrical systems to meet CNG facility standards, including explosion-proof fixtures and emergency shutoff systems. • ADA Upgrades: Provide path of travel and parking upgrades as indicated on A-3.0, ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements per ADA standards and local building codes.
