RFI: Army Digital Engineering (DE) Ecosystem

The Army is seeking to collaborate with industry to inform how it might solve a defined set of Digital Engineering (DE) problems and shape a consolidation strategy for DE tools, services, and licenses. The scope of this RFI is focused on the Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) and Technology Maturation & Risk Reduction (TMD) portions of the acquisition lifecycle. The Army utilizes a plethora of DE Ecosystems and tooling, resulting in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and architecture data being locked in individual tools and stored in disparate systems. The Government has been directed to consolidate tools, services, and licenses without disrupting ongoing PM execution and avoiding vendor lock-in and locked-in data. • The RFI is organized by Problem Statement (PS) and invites respondents to share how such problems are typically addressed using existing systems and tools. • The Government is conducting market research to understand what capabilities exist in industry today. • Respondents are encouraged to describe their current approaches, tools, and experience, and to note maturity and limitations candidly.
