110 GHz Cryogenic Coax Cables and Feedthroughs

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a vendor to provide 110 GHz cryogenic coax cables and feedthroughs for the Communications Technology Laboratory. The cables should have low thermal conductance, stainless steel or CuNi outer, and copper or stainless steel inner, with 110 GHz bandwidth rated connectors. The vendor will work with the end-user to determine the exact dimensions and lengths of the cables. The project requires the installation of the coax cables into an existing dilution refrigerator, including a vacuum feedthrough and high thermal conductivity copper plates at each temperature stage. • The vendor should provide cryogenic-compatible coax cables with specific specifications, including stainless steel outer, copper or stainless steel inner, and 110 GHz bandwidth rated connectors. • The vendor should also provide hermetic and non-hermetic feedthroughs with specific specifications, including KF25 or larger vacuum/hermetic feedthroughs and non-hermetic feedthroughs for 50 K, 4 K, still, and mixing chamber. • The vendor should work with the end-user to determine the exact dimensions and lengths of the cables. • The project requires the installation of the coax cables into an existing dilution refrigerator, including a vacuum feedthrough and high thermal conductivity copper plates at each temperature stage.
