Description
The District is seeking a qualified, NY‑licensed physician to serve as its Chief Medical Officer on a private‑contractor basis. The physician will develop health policies, conduct state‑required physical examinations for students and staff, provide athletic‑event medical coverage, respond to emergencies, and act as the health liaison between the district, families, and community providers. The role is full‑time for the school year with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional years.
• Provide policy guidance, advisory services, and compliance with NY education health regulations.
• Perform annual physicals for students (grades 2, 4, 7, 10), new entrants, and special‑education evaluations (≈25 exams/yr).
• Conduct sports‑pre‑participation exams and cover varsity football games (≈15 events/yr, Friday evenings plus one Thursday).
• Manage employee health examinations, bus‑driver physicals (optional), and coordination of specialist referrals.
• Submit semi‑annual service reports and maintain up‑to‑date health documentation and emergency protocols.
