Pre Bid Meeting -WY FLAP SHE 26(1), Red Grade Road, Phase 1

The purpose of this project is to improve access to the Bighorn National Forest and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands through roadway rehabilitation, widening, and minor roadway realignment of Red Grade Road (County Road 26/USFS Route FSR 26). The project will address the substandard roadway typical section, geometrics, and safety issues. The total project length is approximately 2.6 miles, and the proposed roadway will vary from 22-foot wide to 18-foot total. The project includes minor horizontal and vertical realignments to improve sight distance and roadway geometry, as well as drainage improvements to obtain a design standard for the proposed roadway. • The project includes two schedules and one option: Schedule A is approximately 1.8-miles, Schedule B is approximately 2.6-miles, and Option X includes the rehabilitation of the Aspen's Parking Lot. • The project requires the inspection of the site where services are to be performed, and the satisfaction of all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance. • The project is considered 3R+ and is located in mountainous terrain.
