Description
The City of Hampton, Georgia is seeking a qualified demolition contractor to provide complete demolition and site clearance services for the existing structures located at 24 East Main Street and 26 East Main Street in Hampton, Georgia. The successful proposer will serve as the prime demolition contractor and will be responsible for the safe, complete removal of all above-grade and below-grade structures, protection of adjacent historic and occupied buildings, utility disconnection and proper capping/abandonment, hazardous materials handling, debris removal and lawful disposal, site clearing and grading to surrounding elevations, erosion control, and restoration of sidewalks, curbs, and public right-of-way along East Main Street and Cherry Street.
• The project involves demolition of two buildings in the Main Street Historic District.
• The contractor must protect adjacent occupied commercial buildings and shared demising walls.
• The contractor must comply with historic district requirements and obtain necessary permits.
• The contractor must provide a detailed protection plan and pre-demolition condition survey.
• The contractor must maintain insurance and provide performance and payment bonds.
