The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking a self-contained thermoplastic melting system. The system should be able to hold a minimum of 777 lbs. of highly efficient thermoplastic striping and melt it at 400 F. The unit must have an Anti-Splash/ 3-way safety door, high-temperature limit safety switches, burner access door safety gate, and Thermo-dump door safety gate. • The system must be able to be placed in the back of a standard pickup, flatbed truck, or working trailer for easy transport. • The unit needs to have a minimum capacity of 777 lbs. of thermoplastic striping. • The system must be able to melt thermoplastic material at 400 F and hold the temperature. • The unit must have safety features such as an Anti-Splash/ 3-way safety door, high-temperature limit safety switches, burner access door safety gate, and Thermo-dump door safety gate.
