Description

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is seeking applications for grant funding to conduct research and evaluation projects focused on reducing violence against women. The projects should examine topics such as domestic violence, intimate partner violence, rape, sex trafficking, and stalking, as well as the trauma resulting from these crimes and the associated criminal justice system response. The goal of this program is to support the development of new knowledge and tools to address the challenges of crime and justice in the United States. Some key areas of focus include: • Enhancing engagement with the justice system for women and girls who have been victimized • Improving accountability within the criminal justice system for individuals who engage in or perpetrate violence against women and girls • Testing programs, practices, models, or interventions aimed at reducing violence against women and girls • Developing high-quality evaluations to assess the effectiveness of these programs and practices.
