The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a sole source contract to Richard-Allan Scientific, LLC (Epredia) for the provision of preventive maintenance and repair services for Epredia Excelsior Tissue Processors and Epredia HM525 Cryostat located in the Histology Laboratory of the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital, San Antonio, Texas. The contract will be for a period of one base year with four one-year option periods. The services to be provided include onsite repair, replacement parts, labor, travel, and expenses for unscheduled repair visits, as well as a yearly scheduled preventive maintenance visit. All services must be in compliance with American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation policies, and all applicable Federal, State, and local laws.
