FTHS Ballistic Helmets

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is seeking to extend the ordering period for an existing Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Family of Tactical Helmet Systems (FTHS) with Gentex Corporation. The current contract is set to expire on August 11, 2026, and USSOCOM intends to extend the ordering period for 12 months. The extension is necessary to allow for additional time under the ongoing Other Transaction Authority (OTA) for Prototype Project FTHS Ground Ballistic Helmets competition. • The contract is for the supply of ballistic helmets • The extension is for 12 months • The current contract is with Gentex Corporation • USSOCOM is conducting a competition for a follow-on production contract • All responsible sources may submit capability statements for consideration
