Description
The Township of Lawrence is soliciting sealed competitive bids to replace and install residential concrete sidewalks, curb work, and related drainage improvements across multiple streets. The scope includes removal and replacement of existing sidewalks, installation of new concrete sidewalks of varying widths, curb replacement, and installation of detectable warning surfaces and trench drains. Work must be completed within approximately 30 working days after notice to proceed, with a hard completion deadline of mid‑August 2026.
• 860 SY of existing sidewalk removal/replacement (including 50 SY of in‑water‑draining concrete)
• New sidewalks: 4‑ft‑wide from Cold Soil Road to Branchwood Court; 5‑ft‑wide from Allen Lane to Lawrence Toyota
• Curb work: 50 LF at Bergen Street and 200 LF along Skillman Avenue, plus curb ramps and detectable warnings
• Drainage: trench drain and concrete apron replacement at the Public Works Building
• Project timeline: bid opening June 3 2026, award anticipated June 16 2026, construction start ≈ July 6 2026, completion by August 14 2026
