Description
The City of Fayetteville is seeking qualified contractors to construct approximately 820 linear feet of new sidewalk on the north side of Breezewood Avenue, including extensive demolition, utility adjustments, and associated site improvements. The contract package also covers irrigation system installation, chain‑link fencing, handrails, mailbox relocation, sod and seeding, tree planting, and masonry work, all governed by EJCDC standard conditions. Bidders must meet SDBE participation goals, retainage, bond, and insurance requirements, and submit a 5% bid security by the November 12 deadline.
• Install 4‑5 ft wide, 4‑in thick concrete sidewalk and new curb‑and‑gutter.
• Remove existing curb, driveway apron, concrete, asphalt, fence, bollard, and brick; perform excavation, grading, and back‑filling.
• Provide ancillary work: irrigation, chain‑link fencing, handrails, mailbox relocation, sod/seed planting, tree/plant installation, and masonry.
• Must adhere to strict timelines (150 days to substantial completion, 180 days total) and comply with SDBE (10 %) and local small‑business (40 %) goals.
