Speed Humps

This contract is for the installation of speed humps in the City of Pittsburgh. The contract was awarded to A Folino Construction, Inc. and has a term of two years with two one-year options to renew. The contract includes provisions for payment, performance bonds, insurance, and termination. The City of Pittsburgh is exempt from federal excise taxes, transportation taxes, and state sales taxes. The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, statutes, ordinances, and administrative regulations. Some key aspects of the contract include: • Payment will be based on the actual number of hours provided for flaggers. • The contractor must provide verification of cross-section dimensions both through elevation measurements and profile compliance. • The speed hump is to be constructed of asphalt top course, to a width 4 feet less than existing curb-to-curb width of pavement. • The City requires that a PennDOT approved safety company is used for traffic control. • The contractor must comply with the applicable provisions of the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances, Title Six - Conduct Article V Discrimination. • The contractor must maintain throughout the duration of the contract, all necessary city, county, and state licenses and approvals as applicable.
