Description
The County of Kern issued a quotation request for a new and unused 1 1/2 ton cab and chassis with a 14' refrigerated body. The contract was awarded to Jim Burke Ford, who submitted the lowest quote that met the requirements. The vehicle will be built on a 2020 F450 and will include a refrigerated body and unit. The estimated delivery date is late April 2020. Key features of the vehicle include a 6.8L V10 gas engine, a 5-speed HD shiftable automatic transmission, and a heavy-duty alternator and battery. The refrigerated body will have a minimum of 3" spray foam insulation and will be able to maintain a temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
