Description
This contract calls for the full abatement of asbestos and “wet demolition” of an existing structure at 2775 F/K/A 2773 Springhill Avenue, Mobile, AL. The contractor must remove all asbestos‑containing materials in compliance with EPA and Alabama environmental regulations, perform complete demolition of the building, foundations, and footings, disconnect and cap utility services, manage hazardous and non‑hazardous waste disposal, provide sediment and erosion control, reseed the site, and submit comprehensive documentation (photos, waste‑shipment records, close‑out paperwork). The solicitation required a sealed bid, a 5 % bid security (max $10,000), relevant contractor licenses, performance and labor‑material bonds, insurance, and DBE participation of at least 15 %. The project must be completed within 60 calendar days after issuance of a Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages for delays.
