2018 Local Street Reconstruction Project

The City of Olathe, Kansas, Public Works Department is requesting qualified design firms to submit qualifications for the preparation of design documents for the 2018 Local Street Reconstruction Project. The project includes improvements for four streets, including asphalt pavement replacement, replacement of concrete curb and gutters, driveway approaches, sidewalks and ADA sidewalk ramps as needed, street light installation, stormwater improvements, and sanitary sewer improvements. The project will also include survey of existing conditions, cost estimates, acquisition documentation, developing construction plans, coordination with utilities and Olathe, assistance with bidding of projects for construction, construction phasing plan, and assistance as needed throughout construction. The contract was awarded to George Butler Associates, Inc. • The project includes improvements for four streets: Water Street, Willow Drive, Windsor Road, and Elm Street. • The project includes survey of existing conditions, cost estimates, and acquisition documentation. • The project includes developing construction plans, coordination with utilities and Olathe, and assistance with bidding of projects for construction. • The project includes construction phasing plan and assistance as needed throughout construction.
