Description
The City of Allentown sought to procure the services of a highly qualified firm to undertake a disparity study for minority, women-owned, disabled, LGBTQ businesses, or disadvantaged businesses. The study aimed to provide the basis for determining whether and to what extent the City's procurements should be subject to a race and/or gender conscious remedial Minority/Women/Disabled Business Enterprise (M/W/DSBE) Program. The contract was not awarded, and the City appreciated the interest and time invested by the vendors who submitted proposals. Key aspects of the contract include the preparation of a legally defensible availability and utilization of disparity studies, encompassing criteria contained in the Request for Proposal (RFP) and any other criteria required by applicable law.
