Kipu and Koloa Bridge Rehabilitation

The County of Kauai has awarded a contract to Kaikor Construction Group, Inc. for the repair and rehabilitation of the Kipu and Koloa bridges. The contract amount is $1,942,297.00 and includes the furnishing and paying for all materials, labor, transportation, tools, equipment, machinery, and services necessary to construct or install the repairs in place complete. The contract is subject to the execution of payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates, and other requirements. Some of the key items included in the contract are: Clearing and Grubbing, Temporary Water Pollution, Dust and Erosion Control and Removal of BMP, Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement, Paving Fabric, Cold Planing, Concrete Structures, Manholes, Inlets and Catch Basins, Guardrail, and Pavement Markings. • The contract includes a variety of tasks such as clearing and grubbing, temporary water pollution control, and pavement markings. • The contract requires the vendor to provide payment and performance bonds, as well as insurance certificates. • The contract is for a total sum of $1,942,297.00. • The contract is subject to the execution of the contract documents and the issuance of a "Notice to Proceed" by the County. • The vendor is required to submit a Contractor’s Certificate of Compliance for Final Payment with their final payment invoice.
