The City of Kennewick is requesting sealed bids for the construction of Fire Station #1. The project includes the construction of a two-story fire station building with apparatus bays, offices, crew living spaces, and support areas. The exterior finishes will be primarily metal panels and adhered precast stone veneer. The foundation will be standard spread footings and insulated concrete slab with an exposed polished finish. The roof is a flat roof with single-ply roofing. The apparatus bay doors are proposed to be durable, low-maintenance overhead sectional doors and side-acting four-fold doors. The site design allows for drive-through access to apparatus bays and parking for the public, firefighters, and administrative staff. The station will be tied into the city sewer system for sewage treatment. Two existing buildings and associated site items will be demolished as well. The Engineer's Estimate for this project is between $9,000,000.00 and $9,700,000.00.
