Asbestos & Lead Abatement Consultant

The City of Port Arthur sought a consultant to provide asbestos and lead abatement services on an as-needed basis. The selected vendor, Total Safety, U.S., Inc., will provide consulting services including inspection, evaluation, and selection of abatement methods, as well as monitoring and project management. The contract has a term of one year with options to renew for two additional one-year periods. The vendor will be paid based on the scope of work performed, with rates ranging from $31.70 to $41.21 per hour for different labor categories. • The contract includes provisions for insurance, termination, and indemnification. • The vendor will provide reports and documentation, including a final report within 30 days of completion of field activities. • The City of Port Arthur reserves the right to terminate the contract with at least 30 days' notice. • The contract includes a non-disclosure agreement to protect sensitive information. • The vendor will provide training and support to City staff as needed.
