Description
This contract covers the design‑build of a new sanitary sewer main along North 2nd Street (13000 block) in Rockford, Illinois, funded by Special Assessment #133. The scope includes installing approximately 1,003 lf of 8‑in. PVC sewer pipe, 220 lf of carrier pipe, several manholes, a 24‑in. steel-cased bored‑and‑jacked section, removal and replacement of existing driveways and culverts, and associated roadway work (aggregate base, asphalt binder and surface courses). Additional tasks involve fence removal/replacement, tree removal, grading, erosion‑control, turf restoration, and traffic‑control planning. The project must be completed by 29 Nov 2019, with liquidated damages of $300 per day for late completion.
