Automated External Defibrillators: Supply, Delivery, and Program Management

The contract is for the supply, delivery, and program management of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for the Chicago Park District. The contractor, Public Safety Solutions, Inc., will provide approximately 175 AEDs throughout various Park District locations and will be responsible for the management and training of the AEDs at 240 locations. The contract includes provisions for bi-annual inspections, maintenance, and repair of the AEDs, as well as training for Park District staff. The contract term is for two years, with two one-year extension options. • The contractor will provide AEDs, assembly, and installation, including carrying cases, AED alarmed cabinets, and AED accessories. • The contractor will conduct site surveys and develop a medical emergency plan for each location. • The contractor will provide training on the use of the AEDs to Park District staff. • The contractor will maintain a database to track information, including trained staff, AED locations, and inspection dates. • The contractor will provide reports and notifications as required by the Park District.
