TOS No. 20-149 - Roger Jessup Park Childcare Center Project

The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering’s Geotechnical Engineering Division is issuing a Task Order Solicitation (TOS) for a qualified consulting firm to provide geotechnical services for the Roger Jessup Park Childcare Center Project. The scope includes reviewing existing geotechnical reports, conducting geophysical investigations, performing three geotechnical borings, laboratory testing of samples, and delivering a comprehensive geotechnical data report that meets Los Angeles Building Code requirements. The work will support the design of conventional foundations on properly placed fill for a proposed 1‑2 story childcare facility. Only the top three pre‑qualified firms on the city’s on‑call list may be awarded the task. • Review and integrate existing geotechnical reports and supplemental data. • Conduct geophysical investigations and three (3) geotechnical drillings/borings. • Perform laboratory testing (e.g., grain size, moisture, Atterberg limits, compaction). • Prepare a geotechnical data report with recommendations for foundation design, fill placement, compaction, shoring, and drainage. • Coordinate with LADBS grading division for permit approvals and inspections. • Deliver all required documentation (compaction reports, certification of compliance, etc.) before construction.
