Fire Hydrant Project

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking a supplier to replace a fire hydrant assembly. The project involves coordinating with the Toledo Water Department and Ohio Underground Protection Services, excavating the fire hydrant, removing and disposing of the assembly, and installing a new 5&1/4 fire hydrant assembly. The supplier must also provide and install a thrust block as necessary, backfill the area, and test the hydrant upon completion. The awarded supplier will be the lowest-cost responsive and responsible supplier on contract. • The project requires coordination with the Toledo Water Department and Ohio Underground Protection Services • The supplier must excavate the fire hydrant, remove and dispose of the assembly, and install a new 5&1/4 fire hydrant assembly • The supplier must also provide and install a thrust block as necessary and backfill the area • The project requires testing the hydrant upon completion and collecting water flow information per NFPA 25-2011
