Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Corrections, is seeking bids for the replacement of three stairs at the Northpoint Training Center in Danville, Kentucky. The project includes the replacement of two exterior fire escape stairs and one exterior stair to the mechanical room. A pre-construction phase will be included prior to actual construction for submittals, material ordering, and delivery. All materials must be on-site or available at the start of construction. The contractor shall provide temporary stairs out of each dormitory between the demolition of the existing stair and the installation of the new stair.
• The project requires a pre-bid site visit meeting, which will be held on August 6, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time.
• All personnel on the project site must pass background checks before being allowed to work within the facility.
• Contractors and subcontractors must adhere to the Department of Corrections rules for construction, which are indicated in the specifications.
• The bid submission deadline is August 26, 2026.
