Yard Diving Tender (YDT) Request for Information (RFI)

The U.S. Navy is conducting market research to identify existing or developmental small‑craft designs that can serve as Yard Diving Tenders (YDT) for the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center. The Navy seeks information on designs that meet specific size, performance, stability, and mission‑profile requirements, with an intention to procure up to two vessels in FY 2027. Responses will aid in shaping a future solicitation and do not constitute a proposal. • Required vessel characteristics: ≤52 m length, ≤10 m beam, ≤3.6 m draft, ≥15 kt cruise speed (Sea State 4), ≥400 nm range, DP‑2 capability, ≥50 personnel, 4,500 kg crane, extensive deck space, and specific interior spaces for diving operations. • Delivery location: Panama City Beach, FL. • The Navy requests detailed design data, company experience, pricing (vessel, delivery, engineering), production capacity, and any existing similar vessels. Submissions limited to 10 pages, uploaded via DoD SAFE by 13 Oct 2026 15:00 EDT. • Only U.S.-built and U.S.-flagged vessels will be considered; the eventual contract may be set‑aside for small businesses or opened to competition.
