SOURCES SOUGHT Rudee Inlet Maintenance Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Norfolk District is seeking sources for a future procurement of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for maintenance dredging of the Rudee Inlet Federal Navigation Channel in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The project involves dredging up to approximately 220,000 cubic yards of sandy maintenance material and placing it in designated areas. The contractor will be expected to work in an ocean environment with high recreational traffic. • The project requires the ability to pump sandy dredged material up to 1.25 miles. • The contractor must have experience with similar projects and meet the small business size standard of $37,000,000. • The estimated construction price range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. • The construction period of performance will be approximately 180 calendar days from issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed (NTP).
