Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a real-time PCR system capable of supporting multiplex nucleic acid detection and analysis. The system must provide accurate thermal control, reliable fluorescence detection, and compatibility with existing laboratory software and experimental workflows. The required product features include the ability to capture up to five fluorophores in a single reaction well, fixed optical path, and compatibility with CFX Maestro software. The system should have dimensions of 13x22x14 inches and be able to fit under a standard shelf. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, with technical, past performance, and cost factors considered. • The system must be able to capture up to five fluorophores in a single reaction well using "All Channels" scan mode. • The system must have a fixed optical path, directly over each well, eliminating the need to normalize for positional bias or passive dye calibration. • The system must be compatible with existing laboratory software and experimental workflows. • The system must have dimensions of 13x22x14 inches and be able to fit under a standard shelf. • The system must be able to perform t-tests and 1-way ANOVA calculations.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $150,000

The budget for this contract can be estimated based on the type of equipment being procured and the requirements specified. A real-time PCR system can cost anywhere from $50,000 to $200,000, depending on the features and capabilities. Considering the requirements for this specific system, including multiplexing capability, thermal uniformity, and compatibility with existing laboratory workflows, a reasonable estimate for the budget would be between $100,000 and $150,000. This estimate is based on industry standards and the complexity of the system being procured.
