U--Volcano Disaster Assistance Program - training

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is seeking a vendor to provide logistical services and training to fourteen mid-level career scientists from foreign institutions that are international partners with the Volcano Disaster Assistance Program (VDAP). The training program aims to provide formal training in the monitoring of active volcanic processes and managing volcanic crises. The vendor will be responsible for bringing the participants to the U.S., obtaining U.S. visas, making travel arrangements, and obtaining medical insurance. The vendor will also provide food, housing, and transportation for the participants during the eight-week training course. The training course will run from June 6 through August 1, 2026, in Hawaii and Washington. • The vendor must have expertise in providing formal training in the monitoring of active volcanic processes and managing volcanic crises. • The vendor must be able to provide logistical services, including obtaining U.S. visas, making travel arrangements, and obtaining medical insurance for the participants. • The vendor must be able to provide food, housing, and transportation for the participants during the training course. • The vendor must have experience working with international partners and providing training to foreign participants.
