Invitation to Bid: Elevator Modernization - Grants Pass City Hall

The City of Grants Pass is soliciting bids from qualified, licensed elevator contractors to modernize one existing two-stop hydraulic passenger elevator at Grants Pass City Hall. The project includes replacement of the existing cylinder with a new conventional single-stage hydraulic cylinder, retention of the existing new power unit, and a complete new cab interior. The base bid scope includes hydraulic cylinder/jack replacement, control and drive system, door equipment, car interior, hoistway and safety devices, electrical and miscellaneous work, and a 5-year maintenance contract. The project must be completed within 90 calendar days after a written "Notice to Proceed" is given to the contractor. • The existing hydraulic power unit is new and shall remain in place. • The existing hydraulic cylinder/jack will not be retained in the base bid. • The base bid includes replacement with a new conventional single-stage cylinder. • Alternate #1 provides replacement with a new telescoping (multi-stage) cylinder. • The base bid includes a complete new cab interior modernization/upgrade. • The project requires compliance with the 2024 Oregon Elevator Specialty Code and other applicable codes and regulations.
