The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking a qualified sculptor to design, fabricate, and install an exterior bronze sculpture exhibit featuring a life-like caribou cow and bull at the Tok Main Street Interagency Visitor Center in Tok, Alaska. The sculptures will be approximately 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 times their actual real-life size and will serve as a visual attraction for travelers entering Alaska on the ALCAN Highway. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price contract, and the award will be made based on the best value to the Government, considering technical capability, technical approach, management plan, past performance, and price. The project is expected to be completed by September 15, 2027.
• The sculptures should be anatomically correct for caribou native to Alaska's eastern interior.
• The sculptures should be lifelike, realistic, and suitable for outdoor installation in Alaska's climate.
• The Contractor will be responsible for designing, sculpting, and bronzing the sculptures, as well as installing them at the Tok Visitor Center.
• The Government will provide materials and equipment for the installation, and the Contractor will provide necessary tools and safety gear.
• The Contractor will provide a 1-year warranty against structural failure, cracking, or breakage, and a 1-year warranty on the patina and surface finishes against flaking, fading, or corrosion.
