B027-05 Switch Replacement

The City of Meriden is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish and install a new 800 Amp Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) at the Meriden Police Department. The scope of work includes excavation, bollard installation, conduit, feeders, system annunciation, engineered installation services, temporary generator rental, complete system switchover, startup, operational testing, and commissioning. The contractor must provide all labor and incidental materials necessary to complete the tasks. • The contractor must install a new BODA 3P Automatic Transfer Switch • The contractor must provide stamped, engineered drawings • The contractor must perform excavation and bollard installation • The contractor must provide remote annunciator installation • The contractor must install new feeder conduit and wiring between generator and electrical service equipment • The contractor must core drill for 4" EMT conduit penetrations • The contractor must install 600MCM copper feeder conductors • The contractor must install 1/0 grounding conductors • The contractor must install 1" EMT control conduit • The contractor must modify existing pull box for new feeder routing • The contractor must firestop all new penetrations • The contractor must provide scheduled system shutdown coordination • The contractor must perform ATS system switchover to new equipment • The contractor must complete startup, load testing and commissioning of emergency power system
