Fiber Optics Upgrade

The Ogden-Weber Technical College is seeking qualified contractors to provide fiber optic upgrades on its main campus. The project involves upgrading six campus buildings to single-mode fiber connectivity, utilizing existing conduit and established communications pathways. The goal is to enhance network performance, reliability, and future scalability across the campus infrastructure. Contractors will be responsible for installation, termination, testing, and documentation in accordance with industry standards. • Upgrade six buildings plus the Data Center to single-mode fiber • Utilize existing conduit and communications pathways throughout campus • Provide CommScope brand fiber splice cases at designated manholes and buildings • Provide AFL brand fusion splice cassettes at specified buildings • The College will provide a Hubbell rack-mount LIU at each building destination • The College will also supply a Google Earth (.KML) file detailing cable paths and footages per section to assist with planning and accurate bidding
