Description

This Navy solicitation seeks a qualified contractor to repair, overhaul, and certify a liquid transmitter (CAGE code 034H5, part number XM‑79660‑50‑6200‑O‑L) for use on submarines and surface ships. The work must comply with all applicable MIL‑STD specifications, include a full teardown and evaluation within 90 days of receipt, and meet a required repair turnaround time (RTAT) of approximately 138 (units). The contractor must be an authorized distributor or obtain OEM authorization, provide a firm‑fixed‑price quote for the repair effort, and ensure the final product is mercury‑free and properly marked per MIL‑STD‑130. The contract will be awarded bilaterally under DPAS priority rating and includes a one‑year warranty from delivery. • Repair/overhaul of the liquid transmitter to original specifications • Mandatory teardown & evaluation (TD&E) within 90 days of receipt • Firm‑fixed‑price (FFP) quote required; include cost of new parts for evaluation • Compliance with MIL‑STD‑130 marking, MIL‑STD‑2073 packaging, and mercury‑free requirements • One‑year warranty on repaired unit • DPAS‑rated contract; award will be bilateral with written acceptance required.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

No price is disclosed in the solicitation. Based on typical Navy repair contracts for specialized electronic equipment, the effort can range from a few tens of thousands for a single unit to several hundred thousand if extensive parts replacement and testing are required. Assuming a single transmitter, a reasonable ball‑park estimate is $50,000‑$200,000, reflecting labor, parts, testing, packaging, and the one‑year warranty. Factors that could push the amount higher include the need for OEM‑authorized parts, expedited turnaround, or additional certifications.
